WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
I always talk about how different meal culture is in Spain and how it completely changed my perspective on food and socializing. In Barcelona, meals aren’t just about eating. They are about taking your time, being present, and truly enjoying the company of others. I noticed this especially when I started going to local markets like Mercat de la Concepció, where people carefully selected fresh, in-season ingredients and chatted with vendors as if grocery shopping was a social event. This experience made me reflect on how food isn’t just about nourishment. It is about culture, connection, and appreciating small moments. It also deepened my interest in the Mediterranean diet and food culture because I saw firsthand how fresh ingredients and communal meals play a big role in daily life. Even now, I try to carry that mindset with me, making more of an effort to slow down and be present when I share meals with others.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class while studying abroad was Abnormal Psychology, and a huge part of why I loved it was my incredible professor. She brought so much passion and real-world insight into every lecture, making complex psychological disorders feel both deeply human and intellectually fascinating. Her teaching style was engaging, blending clinical case studies with discussions on cultural perspectives of mental health, which felt especially relevant while living in a new country.
